This position will perform the following additional duties as College Associate:
- Develop curriculum materials with effective teaching strategies for use in tandem with Ascender and other Hispanic Outreach programs.
- Perform outreach and advising to Latino students.
- Provide presentations and workshops to faculty, THECB, CTN as needed.

To provide instructional support for the department.PLEASE NOTE: This is a 12 month position. For FY19, the hiring pay range for this 50% position is $16,331 to $23,330.Principal Responsibilities and DutiesAssists with student support programs including tutoring students; may provide feedback to faculty or instructors regarding student progress. Encourages use of Learning Lab Services.Works on special academic projects.Assists with and attends outreach events and departmental projects as needed.May conduct workshops on professional development topics or subjects for faculty or tutors to enhance their ability to support student success.May plan and organize learning strategies, activities, and aids to serve individual student needs; may work with faculty or instructors to implement those strategies, activities or aids.May assist students in a Learning Lab if related to the discipline; may oversee projects or productions involving activities related to the discipline; may work with students at field locations as it relates to the discipline.May have additional, specific department duties that may be added at time of posting.
Experience using standard office software programs and the technology needed to support learning at the college is required.Principal Professional Standards

Work Experience - Required
To be hired in this position, the candidate must be an adjunct faculty member who is currently teaching or has taught a course within the prior 12 months for Austin Community College. Selection as a College Associate does not affect priority status in staffing for upcoming courses. the instructional department is solely responsible for determination of priority in e-staffing.Other RequirementsLicenses, Certifications, etc.
License or certification may be required to meet SACSCOC faculty qualifications for the subject taught.
