Position Qualifications - Responsibilities:

The department of Elementary and Early Childhood Education hires part-time faculty to teach integrated science courses for elementary and early childhood majors. These positions are on an as-needed, per semester basis to teach traditional and non-traditional students at an on-or off-campus site.

Required Education - Experience - Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

Qualified applications must have earned at least a Master’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, with at least 18 hours of science content relevant graduate semester hours. Ideal candidates will have at least three years experience as a P-12 classroom teacher and university teaching experience.

As one of the larger departments at KSU, the Department of Elementary and Early Childhood Education has more than 80 full‐time and part‐time faculty members. The department serves over 1,500 Elementary and Early Childhood Education undergraduate majors and over 100 graduate majors. It offers programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, specialist, and doctoral levels. Its M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education is now offered both as a totally online program as well as a face‐to‐face option. Certification
for pre‐kindergarten to grade five is embedded in the undergraduate program.
