Position Title:Vertebrate Zoology Student Assistant - Federal Work Study (Fall 2019) Campus Location:Gainesville Job Close Date:10/31/2019 General Summary:

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Vertebrate Zoology Student Assistant on the Gainesville Campus. The work responsibilities of this position will include assisting with animal specimen preparation and set up for the vertebrate zoology course.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

The student will:

  • Assist with specimen cleaning in order to prepare collected skeletal remains for bone identification and display for the vertebrate zoology collection that will be used for classes.
  • Help with lab preparation and ongoing box turtle research as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • A knowledge of anatomy and physiology or vertebrate zoology is preferred, however, it is not required.
Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker and Federal Work Study eligible.
