Position Summary:
University Communications and Marketing. Reporting to the Creative Services Manager, the Graphic Designer will dedicate graphic design expertise to projects for Georgia Southern Athletics.

Essential Functions

Creates digital graphics with focus on the 17 varsity sports for the Athletics' external relations group, and assists in execution of the social media strategic plan for Athletics.

Leads the external relations office's social media strategic plan.

Collaborates with the Athletics videographer to promote Georgia Southern Athletics through media production.

Supports university branding, messaging and communication efforts.

Georgia Southern University is a Tobacco Free Campus.

Minimum Education Required:
Bachelor’s Degree

Three or more years of related work experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; legally authorized to work in the United States; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment

Preferred Education:
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects)

Preferred Experience::
Experience working in communications, graphic design and production

Salary Range: $40,200 - $50,300
