Arkansas State University – Beebe, a two-year residential community college a part of the Arkansas State University System, invites applications for a full-time, promotion eligible, Instructor of Computer Information Systems to begin August 2019.

The successful candidate will possess thorough knowledge of the discipline to share in the teaching of freshman and sophomore level courses in Computer Information Systems to include Introduction to Macintosh, Micro-Computer Applications, Web Page Design, Computer Animation, Visual Basic Programming, Database Applications, Desktop Publishing Applications, Structured Programming in C Language, Java Programming, and Spreadsheet applications for business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintain a 5/5 Fall & Spring course load
2. Teach face to face, hybrid, and online course offerings as needed
3. Teach at our satellite locations as needed
4. Develop and deliver online CIS courses
5. Maintain an active roster of advisees across many Career Education disciplines
6. Assist with curriculum development
7. Participate in course level and program level assessment
8. Engage in student recruitment and retention initiatives
9. Work with program advisory committees
10. Institutional committee service

The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire for teaching and community engagement rather than research and publishing.
