Nature of Work    
Administers all procedures for the recruitment and selection of students for open part-time and temporary position on-campus. Works directly with department supervisors to answer any student employment related questions or concerns. Partners with Human Resources and Financial Aid to ensure clear communication and paperwork flow between offices. Advises, develops and administers supervisor/manager training regarding student employment policies and procedures and best practices for recruiting, hiring, training and developing student employees. Oversees the Student to Exceptional Employee (S.E.E.) training program. Develops and maintains professional development training for student assistants. Monitor new student employee and refresher compliance training for all student employees across campus. Provides program statistics showing the utilization of services and benefits to the University and individual departments. Supervise student assistants in our department as well as Federal Work Study / West Community Student Engagement programs, approve their timesheets in OneUSG, and be their first point of contact.

Required Qualifications    
High School Diploma and 4-6 years of experience in an administrative related role, 1 year of supervisory experience, and experienced in reconciling budgets, as well as highly proficient in utilizing Excel. Strong customer service skills. Excellent analytical, organizational and planning skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks amid frequent interruptions, making independent decisions regarding priority of tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Preferred Qualifications    
Bachelor’s degree and higher education experience preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in human resources, financial aid or career services. Previous experience utilizing position management software.

Salary    $17.14 minimum - $22.38 midpoint

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions    
Must be willing and able to attend professional development opportunities, visit off-campus employers and assist with Career Services events. Must be able to negotiate stairs and capable of lifting 10-15 pounds.
