The Stanford Institute for Innovation in Developing Economies, also known as Stanford Seed, is a Stanford GSB-led initiative that is working to end the cycle of global poverty by training business leaders in developing economies, inspiring Stanford students to become globally-engaged leaders, and supporting critical research from across the university to maximize our impact.


The Program Coordinator in Stanford Seed functions as an integral part of the Program Delivery team and is tasked with coordinating administrative and logistical aspects of the Seed Transformation Program (STP) and other initiatives across the organization. The candidate will work primarily with Assistant Director and Director of Leadership Programs on implementation of STP. In addition, the Program Coordinator will be closely involved in process improvement work that supports the delivery of STP at scale. As a member of the Program Delivery Team, the candidate should have strong project management skills and should help drive cross-functional collaboration across the organization.


Role requires work outside of the normal 8 am - 5 pm workday to correspond to working hours in regional offices (India, Ghana, Kenya. Botswana).


Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate logistical and programmatic aspects of the STP

    (Approximately 40% of time commitment)

  • Develop project work plans and coordinate diverse teams to ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Compose and draft documents and correspondence for presentations, course handouts, and reports; perform substantial editing and fact checking
  • Create, maintain, modify, and/or ensure accuracy of content in various documents and/or websites.
  • Develop teaching schedules
  • Manage Canvas website learning platform
  • Manage STP feedback debriefs on a regular basis and develop recommendations for program improvement
  • Collaboration and handover with regional teams

    (Approximately 20% of time commitment)

  • Collaborate with teams in India, Ghana, Kenya, and Botswana to plan and execute Transformation Program events
  • Drive weekly and monthly regional program manager's check-in calls to prepare the team for success in the Immersion Weeks and other program activities
  • Collaborate on project plan, standardization of sustainable processes and systems, and facilitate cross-regional experience sharing and learning
  • Support faculty with logistical aspects of teaching and travel
    (Approximately 20% of time commitment)
  • Communication with faculty, including onboarding and offboarding
  • Collaborating on development and editing of materials
  • Maintaining faculty website and other systems and processes
  • Oversee Travel Admin Assistant's management of faculty travel logistics for STP
  • Administer tools and processes for facilitator teams in the regions
    (Approximately 20% of time commitment)
  • Workshop assets and content development management
  • Calendar and workflow
  • Facilitator professional development opportunities/training
  • Be flexible to completing any other additional assigned duties.

    To be successful in this position, you will bring:

  • High school diploma and four years of administrative experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Advanced computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications.
  • Demonstrated success in following through and completing projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and assign work to others.
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects.
  • Ability to routinely and independently exercise sound judgment in making decisions.
  • Proficiency in Smartsheets, Google Suite, and Box preferred.
