Description of Position

Hiring Rate: $828.00 per load hour beginning Fall 2019

In addition to accepting applications for all academic departments and programs, we are actively seeking instructors for the following teaching positions:

• General Science courses
• Communication (COM): Verde Valley Campus
• Computer Networking courses (CNT)
• Dance Courses at the Sedona Center: Courses include the following:
  • DAN 110: Ballet I
  • DAN 111: Modern Dance
  • DAN 112: Jazz & Tap
  • DAN 145: Dance Choreography

Private and Applied Music Courses

• MUS 101: Private Music for Cello and Piano
• MUS 151: Applied Music for Cello and Piano

Philosophy

Adjunct Requirements:

• Meet and teach assigned class(es) in accordance with course outlines, including specified textbooks.
• Develop a course syllabus based on the approved college outline.
• Attend such meetings and workshops as may be necessary to obtain or renew certification or essential licensure requirements. Other meetings as required.
• Promptly submit required rosters, grade reports, evaluations, and academic reports.
• Follow the same accepted standards of conduct as the full-time faculty as described in applicable administrative procedures which relate to satisfactory service and conduct becoming a faculty member.
• Document the completion of three (3) hours per semester of professional development activities related to the discipline area and student learning.

Teaching assignment may be day or evening at any campus site.

Minimum Expectations & Requirements

Degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.

General Education (Transfer): 1. Master's degree in the field to be taught; OR2. Master's degree in any field with 18 graduate semester hours in the field to be taught.


Credentialing Requirements for Faculty Teaching Coursework in Occupational Terminal Degree Programs

• Degree in discipline (Associate's degree or higher) AND 5 years or 5,000 hours of documented experience recent with the discipline; AND/OR
• Professional Licensure/Specialized certificate(s) AND/OR 5 years or 5,000 hours of documented and recent work experience.

For some disciplines, additional qualifications and requirements must be met. Preferred Skills & Abilities

- Community college teaching experience
- Professional experience in a community college/higher education work environment
