Assistant or Associate Professor of Sociology
The Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work at the University of South Alabama, a Carnegie-classified high research activity doctoral university, welcomes applications for a full-time (9 month), tenure-track faculty position in Sociology at the rank of assistant or associate professor to begin August 15, 2020. Applicants for the position must have primary expertise in sociological theory; secondary areas of specialization are open. Applicants should possess an earned doctoral degree in Sociology or a related field, but ABDs near completion of the degree will be considered. The candidate who fills the position should possess outstanding teaching skills, and be ready to pursue and sustain an active research agenda. The position carries expectations for service to the Department, College, University, and local community.
