The Rhodes Trust, based at the University of Oxford, builds a better world through global fellowship programmes that develop and connect compassionate, innovative, and public-spirited people committed to solving humanity’s challenges.

We are the home of the world’s preeminent graduate fellowship, the Rhodes Scholarship, which supports outstanding students from around the world for graduate study at the University of Oxford. One hundred Scholars are selected annually on the basis of intellect, character, leadership potential, and commitment to service. With a remarkable legacy of educating leaders and change agents from all walks of life, the Rhodes Scholarships represent the core of the Trust’s mission to develop exceptional leaders who are committed to being of service, impatient with the way things are and have the courage to act.

Developing a sense of community and fellowship amongst the cohort of scholars is integral to the mission of the Rhodes Trust. The Dean of the Rhodes Scholarships oversees the Rhodes Scholar experience, including academic placement and success, leadership development, personal well-being and career mentorship. The Dean also works with a programme team to deliver our signature cohort-based programme focused on Character, Service and Leadership development.

As a valued member of the Trust’s Senior Leadership team, reporting to the Warden and CEO Dr Elizabeth Kiss, the Dean leads the Rhodes Scholarship team, including the Registrar and Director of Scholar Affairs, Assistant Registrar and Scholar Programme Manager.

The incoming Dean will be familiar with working with talented international student cohorts and young people from a broad range of backgrounds. They will have a demonstrable commitment to diversity, inclusion, leadership development and life-long learning. The successful candidate will also be experienced in programme design and development and have a strong record of team work and team-building.

An executive search exercise is being undertaken by Perrett Laver who will support the Rhodes Trust in identifying the widest possible field of qualified candidates and assist in their assessment against the requirements for the role.

To apply, or to download further information on the required qualifications, skills and experience for the role, please visit https://candidates.perrettlaver.com/vacancies/ quoting reference 4226. The closing date for applications is 9am BST Monday 5th August 2019.
