Savannah State University seeks qualified applicants for Activity Coordinator. This position provides professional leadership in planning, administering, supervising, advising, assessing and coordinating programs, clubs, and organizations; supervises the Evening Manager for the King-Frazier Center and part time game room student assistants. Develops and implements social programs and activities; provides direct supervision of the game and recreational room. Coordinates leadership development and support for Greek life and National Pan-Hellenic Council; supports and develops campus spirit activities and traditions. Develops and implements intramural sports and wellness activities; works with students and staff in unstructured situations, including nights and weekends. Coordinates the club and organization registration and recognition process; works with organization advisors and develops manuals. Assists in the training and development of student leaders, organizational officers, resident advisors, orientation leaders, etc. May be directed to perform job related tasks other than those specifically delineated in this description. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Student Personnel, Higher Education or related field with at least two years of experience in student development; Bachelor Degree may be considered with at least five years of related experience in student programming, leadership activities, student life, or orientation. Knowledge of student development theory; basic computer skills including word processing, database management, basic graphic design, web page understanding/ knowledge. Must have leadership, organizational and communication skills, be a team player and have ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
