DescriptionThe Administrative Coordinator willprovide overall administrative assistance to leadership, faculty, research andadministrative staff for the Sol Sherry Thrombosis Research Center (SSTRC).


Specific responsibilities include: assisting leadership with day-to-dayoperations; coordinating travel arrangements and all professional activitiesfor the Center Director and faculty; responding to phone calls, routineinquires, and daily department operational needs, including facilitiesrequests; preparing and tracking purchase orders, vendor and contractorpayments in TUMarketPlace, and resolving payment issues, with Accounts Payable,as required; distributing mail and sending out mail correspondence in a timelymanner; preparing presentation and teaching materials using MS PowerPoint;composing complex correspondence under the direction of the Chair whilerespecting the confidential nature of such materials; setting up conferencespaces, including A/V and catering needs, and taking and distributing meetingminutes; preparing research and administrative documents and trackingprocesses; maintaining departmental databases and listservs; and functioning asliaison for various departments in the University. In addition, theAdministrative Coordinator will coordinate faculty appointments, staff hiringwhich would include working with International Services in processing visa’s and new hire on-boarding processes; assist leadership in the preparationof a variety of reports for submission to the Dean’s Office and other academicentities; and assist the Administrator with the Kronos payroll system, and withrunning reports in the Cognos and Self-Service Banner systems to reconcilegrant and non-grant budget information. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of related administrative supportexperience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may beconsidered.

*Demonstrated computer skills, and proficiency with MS Office Suite softwareprograms.
*Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
*Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, along with the abilityto interact effectively with a diverse constituent population.
*Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills, along with the abilityto work in a dynamic environment and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
*Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
*Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred:
*Experience using the Kronos and TUMarketPlace systems.This position requires abackground check
