Job Description Summary

Reporting to the Chief Human Resources & Deputy Chief Inclusion Officer, the HR Project Manager will be responsible for the strategic planning and execution of Human Resources implementations and projects. Driving the execution of programs designed to optimize business results and align closely with long-term goals/objectives across HR and the organization, this incumbent will serve as the leader defining project objectives and requirements, scope, and prioritization across multiple projects. Daily responsibilities will include developing detailed work plans, schedules, managing resources, identifying and monitoring risk and issues, and preparing and providing status updates. This is a part-time position, 17.5 hours weekly.
General Purpose:
The HR Project Manager is responsible for the coordination of internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects. Ensure that all projects and operations are managed well, delivered on-time and within scope.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop best practices to improve program performance including optimizing program management standards and methodologies.
  • Project manages HR initiatives, driving communication with all stakeholders, ensuring project deliverables are met within timelines set.
  • Provide day-to-day management and coordination of all activities pertaining to the project, including status reporting, problem resolution, and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Anticipate consequences of actions, potential problems, or opportunities for change. Sets and meets realistic deadlines. Forecasts changes and communicates current and projected issues.
  • Create, maintain, and implement comprehensive project plans.
  • Works with SMEs in the HR department to create, maintain and revise standard operating procedures for the HR team.
  • Develops project charters/scope with clear objectives and success criteria that aligns to the HR Strategy while ensuring that all desired functionality and deliverables are properly defined and communicated.
  • Prioritizes and Identifies opportunities to streamline, consolidate, eliminate or enhance processes.
  • Analyze and interpret data along with providing insights to drive meaningful results.
  • Schedules and facilitates project team meetings and conducts written and/or verbal presentations to department, management, and Human Resource staff.
  • Promotes empowerment of the project team, ensuring that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, while encouraging a sustainable pace with high-levels of quality.
  • Accountable for defining and managing overall project scope for the life of the project.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration of project contributors across our HR teams.
  • Promote and support workplace diversity initiatives.
  • Effectively and efficiently handles multiple and competing priorities.
  • Acts as a role model by demonstrating initiative, responsibility, integrity, professionalism, and dependability.
  • Create relationships built on trust, open dialogue, and transparency in order to support the team and overall Human Resources culture and mission.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Knowledge of HR/payroll functionality and current trends in field.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data and records
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Able to maintain and develop top-level, internal and external relationships:
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills along with the ability to present and explain information effectively for non-technically inclined individuals.
  • Strong understanding of HR systems
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Must have a strong ability to balance competing priorities and the flexibility to re-prioritize.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Must possess a collaborative working style.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimal Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of HR Generalist and project management experience required.
  • Must have proven project management skills with past project management assignments of varying complexity and experience.

Minimal Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite inclusive of Microsoft Project required
  • Process improvement and policy creating experience is a plus
