DescriptionThe Office of Student Accounts is recruiting a Coordinator of Operations.  This position will coordinate our mandatory student health insurance program, BankMobile, TouchNet, and all student accounts daily operations. This position will also serve as the liaison between the university, Veteran Affairs, and United Health Care. 

 

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for handling issues related to student health insurance eligibility, claims and will also handle resolving specialized student health insurance customer service issues.  Candidate will assist staff with BankMobile, OnPlanU, and TouchNet customer service issues. This position will also ensure all invoices related to Health Insurance, Dual Enrollment, Veteran Affairs are processed timely.

 

Examples of duties include:

  • Serve as primary advisor to the Associate Director regarding overall programs, management, including implementing all policies, procedures, and systems related to accounts receivable, collections, and interfaces with Banner.

  • Coordinate the setup of the insurance program processing schedule which includes determining GRA tuition waiver and mandatory insurance waiver/enrollment dates and determining waiver deadlines to be included in the GA new hire HR packet.

  • Work with our student health insurance vendor to revise the vendor's mandatory insurance website, brochures and forms.

  • Troubleshoot complex insurance coverage issues like duplicate coverage and eligibility.

  • Review petitions for late mandatory insurance waiver requests, and process approved requests for refunds to the student.

  • Process qualified life event insurance enrollments for visiting faculty, scholars, and OPT students.

  • Work with our student health insurance vendors to resolve any eligibility, enrollment, and claims issues that arise. 

  • Ensure student account systems are up to date and in compliance with policies and procedures.

  • Provide training of all Student Account functions



QualificationsBachelor's degree and one year administrative experience; or high school diploma or GED and five years administrative experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

The university announced in April 2008 that is will begin Division I-AA football in 2010.

The university’s innovative Touch the Earth program brings outdoor recreation ranging from backpacking, rock climbing, sailing, kayaking, rafting and water-skiing to out-of-state snow-skiing and snorkeling trips. And WRAS, Georgia State’s popular 100,000-watt radio voice, is the most powerful student-run radio station in the United States.
