The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for the outreach, screening, counseling and referral of clients to external service providers.

Temporary position.

This grant position will be eligible for participation in the Florida Retirement System (FRS) after six (6) consecutive months of continuous employment.

  • Oversees the management of day-to-day site operations
  • Provides management and leadership to student assistants and volunteers
  • Conducts intake and develops assessment for clients
  • Organizes client appointments and facilitates referrals to partnering agencies
  • Conducts follow-up with both clients and partnering agencies regarding referrals and outcomes
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work or related field and one (1) year of related work experience including counseling to low-income families and individuals; or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work or related field and five (5) years of related work experience including counseling to low-income families and individuals
  • Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Possess strong understanding of support programs and ability to make proper referrals
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule that may include working evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty, and staff
