The Prospect Research Analyst supports Skidmore’s development activities by serving in a collaborative, client-facing, partnership role with fundraisers and other departments within College Advancement. The Prospect Research Analyst works closely with prospect researchers and front-line fundraisers to support programs for the solicitation of principal gifts, major gifts, and the annual fund. This position is responsible for utilizing data analytics and providing data analysis and prospect management services to internal customers within Advancement who are responsible for fundraising and engagement among all constituents, including alumni, parents, and other individuals and groups that support Skidmore.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of direct or related experience; 1-3 years of experience must be in database structures, application, support and/or report writing skills. Extensive experience in relational databases, Business Intelligence and Fundraising Operations will be essential to this role. The Prospect Research Analyst is responsible for analyzing complex data sets to develop executive level reports, written communications/recommendations and manage multiple strategic projects from inception to completion. This position must understand and utilize relevant database systems and internal reporting tools and serve as a subject matter expert for these functions. The position must create and maintain reporting documentation in coordination with Advancement programmers and participate in creating report and best practice guidelines. Exceptional written and oral communication skills.Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge and experience in the following Report Writing Tools is preferred: Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Data Warehousing and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) business intelligence technology.Physical Demands (For Union Positions Only)EEO Statement
