Winona State University invites applications for the position of Assistant Director of Communication (Information Officer-2). The person this position will develop, execute and manage effective communication materials to promote Winona State University (WSU) to prospective undergraduate students using multi-channel, audience-specific community strategies. This includes strategy and creative development for communication outputs for prospective and admitted students, parents, and secondary school educators relevant to recruitment, admission and yield of students. Additionally, this individual will have a first-year recruitment territory and serve as part of the office management team. Minimum qualifications for this position include a bachelor’s degree in Applied Linguistics, Business, Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing, Management Information Systems, Public Relations, Professional Writing, or related field and one (1) year of marketing, communications or project management experience. The Institute for Lifelong Education, headquartered on the Rochester campus, meets the needs of the non-traditional student on each campus and provides the structure for outreach activities compatible with the mission of WSU.
