The Department of Physics at the University of Cincinnati invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level to work in areas within High Energy Particle Physics Theory bridging the fields of flavor physics, Higgs physics and dark matter physics, with a focus on loop computations. The applicant will complement and invite collaboration with our particle physics group, whose interests include flavor physics, neutrino physics, dark matter, and cosmology. The candidate is expected to: establish an excellent research program in the area of High Energy Particle Physics with a focus on dark matter physics; acquire external funding to support it and prepare publications for high impact journals; provide service such as serving on Departmental committees; and, provide high quality teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels by teaching courses on such topics as classical mechanics, electricity and magnetism, quantum mechanics, and quantum field theory or advanced particle physics.

The minimum requirements for this position are: a Doctoral degree in Physics prior to the effective date of the appointment; at least two years of research experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow/Scientific Researcher, which must include work in particle theory with emphasis on flavor physics, dark matter physics, and higher loop computations; at least ten publications in main refereed journals for particle physics; a record of national and international presentations including at least 5 invited talks at conferences, at least one being an international conference; and, experience of at least one academic year teaching graduate-level physics courses.
