Position Summary

*** This is a one-year fixed-term role.

Working in the Office of Public Affairs and reporting to the Assistant Director of Social Media, the Multimedia Content Producer will develop and tell (through shooting and editing) important University stories—highlighting campus and university life as well as faculty and student achievements and endeavors—through video, photography, animated graphics, social media, etc. The Multimedia Content Producer should be an exceptional storyteller who is able to work independently to identify and develop compelling visual content and narratives; to interview faculty, students, and administrators on sometimes complex subject matter; and to produce a diversity of content under tight deadlines. In creating content for a wide variety of media, the incumbent should possess an appealing 'voice,' but must also represent the University according to its priorities and identity. The incumbent should be able to carry out research for a story independently, and will be expected to look for connections between campus activity and broader media trends when developing pieces. The incumbent should have technical skills sufficient to post pieces in all digital and social media domains and in a content management system.
