Position SummaryThe Video Production Administrator will oversee and coordinate logistics related to productions for NYU-TV, a video production unit providing professional video services to the NYU community with a strong emphasis on providing high-quality end-products and top-of-the-line customer service experience. Production coordination includes overseeing the production process from consultation through to final deliverables. This includes conducting frontline consultations with clients, serving as liaison to clients and stakeholders, displaying a comprehensive knowledge of the department’s video production services in order to assess production needs, assigning staff, and prioritizing responsibilities, and being present on-location as needed for facilitation. Other responsibilities include overseeing the estimates and final billing process and coordinating the schedules of full & part-time staff. As part of NYU-TV’s production team, the video production administrator assures a high-quality product on time and within budget scope. Strong attention to detail, time management, customer service orientation, exceptional communication, and organizational skills, and knowledge of the video production process/environment is required.QualificationsRequired Education:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and/or 3 - 4 years experience in a video or live event production environment.Preferred Education:Bachelor's Degree Major in television or digital media production;Required Experience:2+ years 2-3 years experience in production environment; 2-3 years experience with successfully coordinating digital video productions or equivalent experience.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, & PPT in a Windows and Mac environment.Proficient with Google apps. environment (including mail, calendar, drive, and sites). Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills, and knowledge of the video production process/environment is required. Strong knowledge of digital video production in field and studio environments; knowledge of the video, film, and digital media industry.Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written skills, with a well-developed focus on customer service. In this position, the candidate will be interacting with university staff, senior administrators, and students. Highly organized, detail oriented, and proactive; able to problem solve and manage priorities with a smile; Strong ability to multitask and work under short deadlines with a customer service orientation. Creative and flexible to new ideas and practices. Adaptable to a fast-paced and constantly changing environment -- must be up to the challenge of working an ever-changing video event production environment. Team spirited with the ability to work in a collaborative environment, as well as able to work independently.
