Job Details
SCAD seeks a Career Adviser to help our talented students land creative internships and careers. In this role, you will provide individualized direction, develop group workshops and host employer recruitment events.
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic higher education or design professional with positive communication skills, advanced levels of professionalism and the desire to contribute to SCAD student and alumni creative career success. You are student-focused, experienced working with diverse populations, have working knowledge of the career development process, and possess a comprehensive understanding of the art and design job market.
Additionally, you have strong communication, presentation, organizational and project-management skills and a demonstrated proficiency with information management systems and other web-based technology. Professionalism in both dress and conduct with all student interactions is essential.
Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree with experience in career advising or recruiting (master’s degree preferred)
– Proven ability to develop relationships with students, alumni, employers, faculty and colleagues
