Normal Work Schedule: Temporary Part-Time (No Benefits.) Hours will Vary between Monday - Sunday 8:00am - 7:00pm; must be available to work for all Home Football game weekends & Extended hours.

Job Summary: The Sales Associate is responsible for various retail support activities related to an assigned area i.e. textbooks, general merchandise, art supplies, computer supplies, etc. This includes receiving, unpacking, restocking, pricing, shelving, selling merchandise, and keeping the merchandise well stocked and fresh. This position will be responsible for operating the cash register, answering the telephones, serving customers, merchandising products, and preparing and assisting with Store events. The sales clerk will also assist with customer service for the Store, telephone, web, or e-mail inquiries from customers, and customers in the Store. The sales clerk will assist with the annual Store's physical inventory and various other duties as needed. May be assigned to other Store locations.

Additional Department Summary: This position is responsible for assisting with most facets of the Ferguson Store's operations. On a daily basis, this person will assist the customers with any questions/needs they might have. This person will assist with stocking product, processing customer transactions at the register, resetting of the sales floor, merchandising, cleaning and various other duties.

Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and a minimum of six (6) months of experience in a hospitality environment, sales, or customer service. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job which includes frequent stooping, bending, lifting and carrying boxes of books weighing up to 50 pounds. Must have good customer service skills to effectively communicate with faculty, staff, students, customers and vendors.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Will require weekend and extended hours. Hours may vary each week. Minimum 6 months retail experience to include cashiering and customer service.

Preferred Qualifications: Prefer applicants to have extensive customer service experience, cashiering and skills in a retail environment that parallels the functions of this position.
