Job Description:

The York College Division of Music invites applications for a part-time faculty position as an Adjunct Voice Instructor, specifically tenor, baritone, or bass. Applications will be accepted and reviewed immediately until the position is filled, with the intended start date of late August 2019.

The ideal candidate for this position is a teacher and performer comfortable teaching both classical and contemporary commercial repertoire (music theatre, rock, pop, jazz, etc.), and who is a collaborative colleague who will create a nurturing and inspiring studio. Duties will include teaching undergraduate voice students (both music majors and non-music majors) as well as teaching voice students of all ages through the YCPrep Community Music program. Other duties include attending studio classes and end-of-semester juries. Scheduling for this position is very flexible (with a small number of students initially) depending on student and teacher availability.


A master's degree or equivalent is required, and prior college-level teaching experience is preferred.
