General Summary The School of Information Technology seeks qualified candidates for a full-time, nine-month non-tenure track faculty position. Individuals will teach four classes each semester and perform other teaching support duties as assigned.

These positions are represented by the Illinois State University Education Association and may have associated dues or fees.
Additional Information: The School of Information Technology provides premier undergraduate and distinguished graduate programs for the education of computing and telecommunications professionals.

We offer three undergraduate bachelor's degree programs, two undergraduate minor programs, a master's program in Information Systems, and a graduate certificate program offering five graduate certificates.

Both the Information Systems program and Computer Science program are accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, www.abet.org.
Required Qualifications 1. Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related area.
2. Must be able to teach Java programming.
3. State law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position.
4. If this position is Security Sensitive or if you are subject to a criminal background investigation based on University policy, employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation. You may not begin work until the criminal background investigation results have been received and cleared by Human Resources.
Desired Qualifications: 1. Experience teaching Information Technology.
2. Two or more years experience working in software development.
Necessary Licenses/Certifications/Degrees Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related area.
Hiring Rate/Range Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience
