The Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in either the non-tenure clinician educator track or the tenure track.

Teaching responsibilities may include instruction of medical students and residents rotating through the operating rooms and wards of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) and the Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC) as well as participation in the didactic series of the department.

Clinical responsibilities may include the provision of clinical anesthesia at HUP and PPMC. Opportunities available with a focus in neuroanesthesia, obstetrical, cardiovascular, and/or critical care.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include collaboration, writing patents, grants, and peer reviewed publications.

Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. ABA certification in anesthesia, eligibility or equivalent and Pennsylvania license required.

A strong commitment to academic anesthesiology and evidence of scholarship is required.
