Job Summary:
The University of San Francisco School of Law is seeking a detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills and a committed work ethic to assist in enhancing the productivity, efficiency and responsiveness of the Law School Admissions Office. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the JD recruiting and admissions process at the School of Law and will have key responsibility for recruitment and yielding programs. This individual will serve as a critical point of contact for applicants, prospects, and pre-law advisors, and will also provide secondary support for application processing and data entry.

Full Job Description:
Job Responsibilities
  • Assists with design, implementation, and tracking of communication plan with prospective, admitted, and deposited students
  • Maintains pre-law advisor and pre-law organization database, implements communications plan with and serves as point of contact for pre-law advisors and groups
  • Takes lead on or secondarily plans all admissions events
  • Responsible for maintaining admissions recruitment calendar, in both internal and external capacities
  • Manages recruitment event registration and follow up
  • Maintains statistical information for admissions recruitment and yield events and surveys, and provides regular reports and analysis to supervisors
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating Admissions Office social media accounts, including, but not limited to Twitter and Facebook
  • Provides administrative support to the Senior Director and Assistant Director of the Admissions Office in the JD application and admissions process; this includes the tracking of correspondence and development of mail merges, LSAC JD Credential Assembly Reports, letters of recommendation, and transcripts
  • Inputs, edits and maintains data for the JD application
  • Responds to telephone, e-mail, and in-person requests for admissions information and application materials
  • Represents School of Law at recruitment events as needed
  • Supervises student workers in absence of Senior Director and Assistant Director
  • Provides support for tuition deposits and payments as needed
  • Assists Senior Director and Assistant Director with special projects or other responsibilities as directed

Requirements
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of administrative experience with responsibilities in file maintenance, data entry and maintenance and analysis of statistical data preferably in an admissions office or professional school environment. Applicant must have experience in usage of social media in a professional setting. Experience with communication and marketing plan design and implementation is required. Applicant must have extensive experience with event planning and support. We are looking for individuals with a demonstrated ability for careful, conscientious work even with multiple interruptions and minimal direct supervision; excellent judgment and respect for confidentiality; solid oral and written communication skills; a gracious, professional and responsive demeanor; and a cooperative spirit. We expect this candidate to bring a positive and enthusiastic presence to a fast-paced but collegial work environment and to have a strong commitment and responsiveness to our applicants and students. Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and other software programs) is required. Familiarity with ACES-2 Admissions Database software is a definite plus. Must be able to type a minimum of 50 words per minute. A test for typing, accuracy, basic grammar and spelling may be required. Post high school education preferred. Training or experience equivalent to five years of increasingly responsible work experience in a senior support role or related education. Must be able to lift on occasion up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment
The position reports to the Senior Director of Admission in a 37.5 hour per week position in a professional academic office. The hours are 8:30 - 5:00 PM with the possibility of overtime as approved by the Director. The Admissions Office consists of a Senior Director, Assistant Director and an additional OA VI position.
