Job Summary:

This position is a temporary position for 16 weeks at 20 hours/week.

The Anatomy and Cell Biology Department facilitates an on-going effort of a large and active volunteer group that provides research support for 5 paleontology faculty members in the department. These volunteers provide hours of volunteer research preparation each year.

This position will be responsible for supervising the volunteers in the 16 weeks. The primary duties of this position consists of maintaining the volunteer program by coordinating activities, maintaining lab safety standards, coordinate space usage and supervising volunteers.

Environmental Hazards:
Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger,grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or withoutreasonable accommodations.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Prior experience in a vertebrate paleontology lab or similar
- Prior experience supervising employees
