Job Id: 390 # of Openings: 1 MUSIC RECRUITMENT MANAGER Wheaton College Conservatory of MusicMusic Recruitment Manager The Conservatory of Music at Wheaton College (IL) invites applications for a full-time, salaried staff position to begin as soon as possible. Candidates should have a record of excellence and accomplishment and a clearly demonstrated ability to provide leadership and excellence in music recruitment. Responsible to the Dean of the Conservatory of Music and in consultation with the Chief Enrollment Management Officer and Director of Undergraduate Admissions, the Music Recruitment Manager will serve as a vital link between admissions and the faculty and staff of the Conservatory of Music, while managing the overall music recruitment activities of the College. Duties
  1. Work in close collaboration with the Conservatory of Music and Office of Admissions
  2. Coordinate all music recruitment activities
  3. Maintain music recruitment records
  4. Maintain a comprehensive communication plan with music prospects including correspondence with prospective students, coordination of music faculty and staff communication and marketing and communication plans of the college
  5. Coordinate student workers and volunteers in assisting with music recruitment activities
  6. Represent the college in visiting high schools, churches, performing arts and music fairs, state conventions, and other settings
  7. Support annual music ensemble tours and other outreach activities and allied music recruitment activities
  8. Coordinate summer music camps
  9. Coordinate an advisory council that includes representatives from key recruitment cohorts
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree required. (Master’s degree preferred) and a minimum of three years of music admissions or related experience
  2. Experience in communicating the value of music and the arts
  3. Outstanding interpersonal skills and evidence of highly motivated, self-starter attitude
  4. Excellent organizational, time and people management, and communication skills
  5. Ability to take initiative, work independently yet collaboratively, and offer creative alternatives
