Transylvania University (www.transy.edu), a top-tier, independent, residential liberal arts college of 1,000 students in Lexington, Kentucky, invites applications for the Director of Residence Life.

The Director is responsible for the overall development and management of the Department of Housing & Residence Life, including staff training, supervision, housing assignments, and programming support for approximately 800 residential students.

The Director provides supervision for professional staff and shares in the training and supervision of 20 Resident Advisors and 4 Area Coordinators and will participate in the “on-call” duty rotation as a member of the Student Life staff. Living on campus is not required for this position.

The Director provides leadership for the student conduct process and assists with adjudication of cases, training and oversight of the conduct boards, and database management of student conduct cases. Experience with housing management and conduct software such as Adirondack and Maxient strongly preferred.

This position requires a Master’s Degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs or related field, and three years post-master’s degree experience in direct residential living or student housing and student conduct.
