he Dean of Students Office fosters the development of leadership, civility, accountability, and responsibility in the University of North Texas student; builds community through service and involvement; and serves as an advocate for all students. This office is dedicated to supporting the UNT student who may need assistance in resolving complex personal and academic matters. We strive to help all students achieve their academic and personal goals and enhance the UNT student experience.

Job Description
The Dean of Students Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Student Services Coordinator to join our team.

This position assists with the university's process for addressing the needs of students who are seeking to withdraw due to health, financial, personal, and social issues by providing a myriad of interventions, referrals and follow-up services. The primary responsibility is to assist with the student-initiated withdrawal process in the Dean of Students Office. The staff member will also assist with the Seeking Options & Solutions (SOS) Program, CARE Team, and special projects. This position will report to the Associate Dean of Students. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Meet with students during the University mandatory withdrawal process and SOS program as a representative of the Dean of Students office.
* Assist with data gathering of mandatory withdrawal process and assessment.
* Supervise student workers.
* Oversee DOS After Dark at freshmen orientations.
* Serve on CARE Team On-Call rotation.
* Build relationships within UNT and community resources to assist students regarding community outreach and assistance.
* Assist with development of outreach and publicity to UNT faculty and staff promoting interventions to and for the withdrawal process, CARE Team and DOS.
* Help with initiatives and special projects, such as Flight Memorial and Food Pantry.
* Other duties to be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Master's Degree in related field and two years of student services, student affairs, counseling, advising, or related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

* Excellent public speaking skills with experience in conducting training workshops.
* Ability to provide leadership and mentoring to student populations.
* Experience in networking across departments and programs.
* Demonstrated commitment to diversity.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to simultaneously execute multiple projects.
* Excellent verbal and written communication, and computer skills.
* Some experience in customer service is preferred.
