TheObstetrics and Gynecology Department, Division of Family Planning has anopening for a full- time Registered Nurse, providing professional services inour clinic on the Lowry campus. The mission of Family Planning is to provide the comprehensivefamily planning services to women in the community. 

Theposition will coordinate patient care and communicate with clinical and officestaff. Assisting in a variety of office procedures will be a predominantrole.  The nurse will also provide directpatient care in the form of administering IV sedation, monitoring patientsduring sedation and recovery, ultrasound assessment and pre-and post-procedurecounseling.  The nurse also may respondto patient inquiries in person and/or by phone. This nurse will demonstrate competency in caring for the complexpatients and participate on the Care Team to improve the quality of care in theclinical area. Some administrative work required, and other duties as assigned.

Withthis new position, protocols and procedures may need to be modified.  The position can recommend strategies toimprove productivity based on previous experience and knowledge of theclinic.  The position will work with theoffice manager, RNs, MAs, and staff physicians to implement any clinicalchanges.
