Job Details
Responsibilities include teaching PLANT DISEASES (HALT 1307), a college course (lecture + lab). Class topics an overview of the factors causing plant diseases. Topics include physiological disorders, fungi, bacteria, viruses, mollicutes, nematodes, parasitic plants, non-pathogenic factors, and control methods. At the end of the class, students should be able to: Differentiate between pathogenic and non-pathogenic diseases; identify common plant disease symptoms; and recommend disease control measures.
The class is scheduled on Thursdays, 2:30-5:50 p.m. in Corinth. It meets once a week from August 26-December 13, excluding November 28. Compensation is $590 per semester hour.

Required EducationAssociate Degree in field and at least three years work experience or Bachelor Degree/Masters Degree in the discipline.
Required Skills & AbilitiesExcellent oral and written communication skills, basic computer skills, ability to teach students from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
Preferred Skills & AbilitiesRequired ExperienceDegree awarded in field and at least three years work experience in the area of assigned instruction confirmed by letter(s) from employer(s) or Bachelor Degree in the discipline
Preferred ExperienceBachelor’s degree in related field.
