Position Summary

The HR Employee Service Center Team works with other team members and departments to offer a One Stop Shop experience to anyone who needs Human Resources assistance. The HR Employee Service Center Representative supports employee life-cycle administration in an HR operations environment including creation, update and maintenance of employee records while providing consistent, high quality customer care and service excellence to all associates.
Under the direction of the Sr. Director for HR Strategic Management the HR Classification and Hiring Managing Consultant will be responsible for coordinating the collection, maintenance, and processing of HR/faculty position management and hiring actions; to include UGA’s employment applicant and position management tracking system (UGAJobs), applicant tracking activity, University System Joint Employment, and planning efforts for HR employee data for UGA under the guidance of the university system of Georgia and Board of Regents.
In this HR Classification & Hiring Managing Consultant position you will become a key team member of Human Resources Employment Service Center professionals involved in knowledge of the principles and practices of position management, classification, hiring and onboarding.

This is a full-time limited term position ending in January 2020 with potential to become permanent positions.

•Provide end-user support for HR practitioners interacting with Human Resource systems including navigational questions and basic system issue resolution.
•Determine appropriate position classifications for university part-time faculty, limited term faculty, adjunct faculty, graduate students, post-doctoral students, student workers, retire rehires and temporary workers positions by determining the appropriate title and job codes.
•Apply knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and practices regarding USG and UGA guidelines.
•Provide assistance in the creation and or modification for part-time faculty, limited term faculty, adjunct faculty, graduate students, post-doctoral students, student workers and temporary workers.

•Work with HR practitioners/unit Hiring Officials to create Direct Hire requisitions and seat employees into part-time faculty, limited term faculty, adjunct faculty, graduate students, post-doctoral students, student workers and temporary worker positions.
•Adhere to all federal, state and local regulations governing the employment process and ensure hiring is within USG/UGA policy and that AA/EEO guidelines are in sync with the mission and values

• Conduct employment verification on candidates and work with new employees to complete all required new hire paperwork finalize onboarding process ensuring accuracy and completion of requirements
