Job Summary/Basic Function:
University of North Texas is seeking individuals who wish to join the founding faculty of New College. UNT is committed to student success and the creation of the next generation of job-ready curriculum. New College provides faculty and staff support to the numerous degree programs offered by UNT at our Frisco campuses.

New College is a leader in project-based education, providing students unique opportunities to learn through collaboration with industry partners and UNT Denton-based academic units.

The successful candidate will report to New College with a joint academic appointment in the College of Education

The anticipated instructional need includes, but is not limited to, undergraduate courses in human factors, kinesiology, and applied biology. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching, research, industry, or entrepreneurial experience in technologies and/or analytics for health and sports applications.

Candidates are expected to teach 3-4 courses per semester with the potential for a course load reduction for recruiting, professional activities, program advising, course development, assisting with accreditation, providing career guidance to students, or other professional development and service activities. Actual course loads are assigned based on program needs and determined by the Dean of New College in collaboration with the College of Education. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in an area related to applied biology, human factors, human/digital systems.
Professional experience related to the area of teaching responsibility.
Strong student success focus.

Preferred Qualifications:
Terminal degree an area related to applied biology, human factors, human/digital systems.
Teaching experience at the university level.
Experience teaching online courses.
Teaching, research, industry, entrepreneurial experience with technologies and/or analytics for health and sports applications.
Service to the profession as evidenced through membership in professional organizations and related activities.
