Position StatusFull TimeIf part time, hours per weekWhat you will do:The University Scheduling Center (USC) is the centralized unit responsible for the scheduling and staffing of academic classes and the issuing of academic contracts for all NLU Colleges and the University Library. This centralization leads to process and financial efficiencies. This position is responsible for scheduling, staffing, contracting, process improvement and project coordination associated with the work of the USC including:
Outcomes:•Works as part of a team on developing, documenting and training of USC processes
•Supports as appropriate, projects related to the work and efficiency of the USC
•Collaborates with colleges to create academic schedules
•Creates and distributes reports as assigned and as appropriate looks for opportunities to improve usability of reports and data
•Creates scheduled courses in BANNER
•Determines correct rates and issues contracts for adjuncts and fulltime faculty
•Works with other University units to research and solve problems related to the activities of the USC
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum 5 years office/administrative experience including strong demonstrated skills dealing with details and accuracy including math.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with great attention to detail and follow through; effective team player.
- Effective communication (written, oral, listening) skills; analytical skills.
- Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office modules (particularly Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required. Skills using selected Banner modules strongly preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive materials required.
