Position Summary:

Application Infrastructure Services (AIS) delivers development, implementation and support for email, calendar, chat, portal, enterprise content management, document storage and collaboration, web content management and more. The Web Platforms/Services Group is in charge of providing some of the most widely-used, enterprise-scale web platform services to UW-Madison, UW System, and partner institutions across the country. The work we do is very collaborative, user-centered and adheres to industry standards and best practices. You'll have an opportunity to learn, while you work as part of a team to maintain the integrity and high quality of the services we provide.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Required Qualifications:
* Minimum 1 years' experience with Javascript and Javascript framework (e.g. React, Angular, Vue, etc).
* Minimum 1 years' experience with HTML and CSS.
* Minimum 1 year experience working with API's.
* Minimum 1 year experience working with server side technologies (e.g. Java, PHP, .Net).
* Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team and individually.
* Demonstrated desire to learn new things.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with digital design patterns (e.g., responsive, mobile first, material).
* Experience with the MEAN and/or JAM stack (MongoDB, Express, AngularJS, and Node.js and/or Javascript, API's and Markup).
* Experience with developing for publishing platforms ( e.g., Jekyll, Wordpress, Drupal).
* Knowledge of user experience best practices.
* Experience with version control systems (e.g., git).
* Excellent customer service skills and orientation.

In achievement and prestige, the University of Wisconsin–Madison has long been recognized as one of America's great universities.
