Requirements

Assistant Director, Student Experience & Assessment - Georgetown University Graduate School Career Center

The Assistant Director, Student Experience & Assessment leads the design and execution of student engagement and development within the Graduate Career Center. As such, the Assistant Director ensures:
  • Programs, services and resources are effectively teaching career-readiness skills consistent with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) career-readiness competencies.
  • Operational excellence, delivering a superior student experience along the full student lifecycle and across all touchpoints.
  • Continuous improvement through the collection and analysis of data and reporting of key performance indicators.

Working with The Director of the Graduate Career Center and other career management subject matter experts (SMEs), the Assistant Director's duties include but are not limited to:
  • Determine the programs, services, resources, technologies and internal processes that will provide students with a cohesive and seamless learning experience.
  • Commit to a student-first mentality and will build and support a connected, comprehensive and student-centered approach to our services while utilizing a data-driven approach to continuous assessment and improvement.
  • Is a critical part of the Graduate Career Center team, ensuring that Georgetown graduate students recognize the value of career management, engage with the center early and often, have access to the right tools and resources and are able to measurably increase their career-readiness towards strong outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1-2 years of experience in an operations or customer/student service role
  • 2-4 years of experience in higher education and/or closely related field
  • Knowledge of career management and other University systems such as Handshake, Banner and content management systems such as Wordpress
  • Experience with Visio or other visual flowchart applications
  • Ability to gather, analyze and report on student learning outcomes and other data is essential
  • Must possess exceptional speaking and writing skills and be able to communicate to a variety of constituents

Preferred Qualification:
  • Master's degree in Education, Educational Assessment or related field
  • Experience in Customer Experience Design/Human-Centered Design
