_Site Coordinator - Lawrence County Campus 

 

This position is responsible for planning and delivery of student services for the Lawrence County campus and for representing the college with civic, business and educational leaders in the communities served.

Essential Functions:

1. Provide oversight for the daily operations at the Lawrence County campus including facility maintenance and security and indirect supervision and direct support of faculty.
2. Provides enrollment and student services in the areas of admissions, records, financial aid, testing, business services as well as student discipline.
3. Provide advising services as needed for credit and non-credit students.
4. Coordinate and implement student activities at the Lawrence County campus.
5. Assist as requested with recruitment efforts at area and regional schools as directed and outlined in the college recruitment plan.
6. Serve as the college liaison to provide all student and community services at the Lawrence County campus.
7. Assist with the Right Start Orientation Program at the Lawrence County facility and lead mini-Right Start Orientations as needed.
8. Represent the college with civic, business, and educational leaders in the communities served by the Lawrence County campus.
9. Provide recommendations for improvement of operations and academic schedule to the Dean of Regional Services and Southern Campuses.
10. Respond to questions and requests for student and community-related requests through email and social media assigned to the Lawrence County campus.

Supplemental Functions:

1.Serve on college committees.
2.Supervisor fulltime staff as assigned.
3.Supervise temporary staff, lab monitors and student workers as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Work Characteristics:

1. Knowledge of active listening and general counseling techniques
2. Ability to provide effective individual and group student services counseling
3. Ability to establish, coordinate and implement independent management decisions
4. Knowledge of admissions, financial aid, testing, and records functions
5. Ability to effectively use information technology including Microsoft Office and related applications
6. Ability to interact with students and co-workers in a professional manner
7. Ability to be flexible and adaptable to support the goals of the college and its communities
8. Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a professional manner
9. Knowledge of Banner
10. Ability to work without direct supervision
11. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Working Conditions:

1. Regular work schedule 7:45 am – 4:15 pm Monday through Friday – Evening and weekend hours are necessary at times.
2. Visual and hand usage of computer terminal
3. May require travel to other campus locations.
4. Normal sitting and movement in an office environment.

Requirements of the Position

 

Education, Training, and Experience Required:

1.Bachelor’s degree, minimum
2.Minimum 2 years full-time supervisory experience in a college or business setting.
3.Documented involvement, leadership and success with civic and community activities.
