Position Description:
Reporting to the Director of Documenting Global Voices (DDGV), the Grants Specialist will support all aspects of the new Documenting Global Voices project. Working collaboratively with the DDGV, the Grants Specialist will execute and document the process of Documenting Global Voices granting. Responsibilities include: maintaining a master spreadsheet of application details, data analysis and visualization to track multiple sources of feedback, communicating with internal and external reviewers, planning for inaugural board meeting and coordinating with board members. The Grants Specialist coordinates outreach communications for future rounds of funding, and review financial reports in collaboration with the Library Business Office. The Grants Specialist contributes to creating an equitable and transparent application process so that the program funds a diverse set of projects.

Documenting Global Voices (DGV) is a $5.5 million Arcadia-funded granting program. The program will solicit proposals and award grants annually to preserve at-risk cultural heritage content and make this content widely available through a UCLA-hosted website. Content scope includes rare and unique materials from the era of post-industrialization to the present of historical, cultural, and social significance from regions with limited resources for archival preservation.
