Position Description:
The UCLA Business Transformation Office (BTO) is an internal business advisory unit of skilled professionals who provide consulting services to the UCLA campus. The BTO is involved in the design and implementation of integrated solutions to enable efficiencies and effectiveness; supports the strategy planning, budgeting and governance of business transformation initiatives and facilitates coordination across functional and organizational boundaries; collaborates with stakeholders to assess business process efficiency, operational performance and environmental factors to identify improvement opportunities; manages and coordinates resources to support project management, business analysis and provides oversight of project execution; and serves as UCLA's center of excellence in the execution of large scale business transformation initiatives.

As a member of the Business Transformation Office (BTO) Leadership team, the Program Director, Finance Systems Transformation, oversees and directs the strategy for the planning, migration, integration and maintenance of a new SaaS financial systems platform aimed to improve operational effectiveness, increase cost effectiveness and leverage transformative capabilities across the UCLA campus.

General responsibilities include:
- Lead the Finance Systems Transformation team to create and deliver best-in-class and cost effective solutions through the BTO's multi-faceted service offerings;
- Ensure projects and programs align with UC's vision of operational excellence to foster successful creation and operation of shared services;
- Champion continuous core business capability improvement through timely adoption of innovative technologies and processes;
- Based on long-term university-wide business needs, manage systems implementation and migration,, vendor selection/acquisition, contract negotiation, due diligence, and integration of new technologies and applications;
- Serve as chief subject matter expert and lead sponsor for designated program and projects;
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with campus stakeholders, University of California (UC) system, external partners, and other higher education institutions;
- Responsibility for effective fiscal and human resource management for designated program area;
- Inspire, manage and mentor staff members at all levels to achieve high-quality outcomes.
