Type of Assignment: Classified/Staff

Compensation: $36.13 per hour (range 28, step 1).

Short-term, temporary employees may be eligible for Healthy Families Sick Leave, and enrollment in a retirement system.

Position Details:
One temporary, extended day, full-time, 40 hours per week position on the Oceanside campus. The temporary assignment will last for approximately 9 months, beginning in August. The work schedule will vary depending on game schedules but on most weeks will be Monday through Friday 10:30 am to 7:00 pm. The person selected for this position will be subject to assignment to any district facility during any hours of operation.

Basic Function:
Under direction, develop, coordinate and administer a comprehensive sports medicine program focused on prevention and care of athletic injuries related to intercollegiate sports; educate student athletes on injury prevention; administer treatment and rehabilitation to injured athletes; and perform related duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in kinesiology or a related field, and at least three years of responsible professional experience performing preventative and rehabilitative athletic modalities; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
