DescriptionJob Purpose: Facilitate the safety and protectionof minors in Georgia Tech youth programs both on and off campus. Manage youthprograms compliance with Georgia Tech's policies impacting youth safety andprotection. Serve as a campus project manager of the youth protectioncompliance program and update Georgia Tech youth program policies, procedures,and processes. Promote the integration of national best practices into youthprogramming at Georgia Tech. Major Responsibilities: Collaborate with youth program directors, Insurance & Asset Management, Human Resources, Legal Affairs, and other stakeholders to develop and apply updates to Georgia Tech policies that impact youth safety and protection. Manage an inventory of Georgia Tech youth programs, including third-party youth programs on the Georgia Tech campus. Manage a records retention program for youth safety and protection records. Serve as the central clearinghouse for policy, compliance, and best practice information for youth programs. Manage a Youth Programs at Georgia Tech website. Create educational resources, forms, and instructional materials for youth programs with a focus on continually improving services and programs to enhance youth safety and protection. Manage all compliance-related training requirements, including assisting youth programs in the use of systems and processes for tracking and reporting internal and external trainings. Develop education programs and campus events for faculty, staff, and students regarding youth safety, including legal/regulatory requirements related to youth protection compliance. Manage the Mandatory Reporting of Child Abuse procedures at Georgia Tech and coordinate with GT Police Department and Human Resources on any investigations of alleged misconduct within youth programs. Represent Georgia Tech at higher education youth program conferences. Keep knowledge of youth safety and protection best practices current for Georgia Tech. Other related duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of related experience and education. Work Experience: Two to four years of related experience. Certifications:N/A Skills: Specialized skills required for this job: Highly motivated self-starter who cares deeply about youth safety and protection and the Georgia Tech mission. Demonstrated ability to take initiative and manage a complex project independently, with thoroughness and attention to detail. Excellent public speaking, presentation, and written communication skills required. Must be comfortable speaking in public across campus. Ability to establish and maintain effective, successful working relationships with campus and community partners, including various levels of faculty, staff, students, and third-party programs/agencies. Ability to exercise good judgment, problem solve, and think critically. Outstanding customer service orientation. Skill in tracking and maintaining data and compiling reports. Strong working knowledge of technological tools for managing and presenting data such as Excel, PowerPoint, Drupal, SharePoint, etc.
