Overview:
ATS Institute Of Technology has been successfully helping students achieve their educational goals since 1998. Accredited nationally by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). We are currently seeking a Director of Nursing Program to lead our team of motivated and passionate professionals. The campus is located in downtown Chicago near Millennium park, conveniently situated right next to multiple transit systems that all provide commuter students, faculty and staff convenient access to the campus. Summary:
This position represents a unique opportunity to join the College as it strategically pivots to a focus on new age and innovative approaches to Nursing education with a commitment to educate students in an evidence based and clinical reasoning environment. This person will provide strategic leadership and promote a culture of excellence to engage faculty, staff, and students in the continuous improvement of the educational experience. This Director will develop, execute, and manage College success initiatives through measurable results and performance indicators.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the accomplishment of long-range planning for the program
  • Facilitate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Practical Nursing Program curriculum and course content in accordance with the national standards and community needs
  • Responsible for implementing and evaluating program and course outcomes, curriculum development, program evaluation, and budget planning
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, and retaining highly qualified faculty, promotes professional development and supervision
  • Plan and lead Program Advisory Board meetings
  • Prepares required reports, analyzes data to determine student progress and related data to make recommendations for process improvements
  • Develops relationships and maintain effective communication with faculty, staff, students, and all 3rd party agencies
  • Implement faculty orientation to provide new faculty with essential information and review College policies related to teaching
  • Create and maintain an environment conducive to teaching and learning Supervise and evaluate program faculty
  • Monitor student progress and competency based on program philosophy and objectives
  • Prepare reports necessary for continued approval or accreditation of the Practical Nursing Program
  • Evaluate and recommend textbooks, reference books and other teaching materials
  • Provide opportunities for student and graduate for evaluation of curriculum, teaching and program effectiveness
  • Plan and attend graduation and other events
  • Maintains professional qualifications through participation in continuing education programs and academic courses
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in nursing from an accredited College or University
  • Nursing Licence in Illinois
  • 5 years related experience in a College or University setting
  • Knowledge of trends and developments in nursing education
  • Proficiency in the use of research and information technologies
  • Experience with strategic communication, strong management skills, and the ability to relate effectively with a diverse group of people
  • Impeccable judgement and integrity
