Physical Requirements

Lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to and possibly over 50lbs; Standing or walking with objects up to 25lbs; Repetitive motion.
May be exposed to loud noises, fumes, confined spaces, and/or weather/temperature extremes while on a job-site(s) or traveling to/from various job sites.

Shift

7:30 am – 4:30 pm; (Monday – Friday)*
*Hours of work may vary due to situational factors and/or emergencies requiring night(s), weekend(s), and holiday(s) response.

Job Summary

There are currently positions open for the Maintenance Technician II. To be considered for each position, you must apply for each position. One application will not be considered for all positions.

Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, operating, and repairing building systems in an assigned area.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

MS Windows/Office; SAP; KRONOS; Driver’s License; experience with building and equipment maintenance; and HVAC troubleshooting and repair experience are preferred. Ability to work different shifts and overtime as needed.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience

High School + 4 Years in building and/or equipment maintenance.

    Research

    In fiscal year 2016, the University of Kentucky was awarded $316.5 million in external grants and contracts.
