Prepares a variety of materials including meeting notes, routine correspondence, basic reports, and forms. Maintains filing systems, basic departmental databases, calendars, and conference room schedules. Responsible for time and leave entry, payroll transactions, or travel arrangements. May order and receive supplies and perform office inventory functions. Work is performed under routine supervision using established procedures and guidelines.

Provides administrative and clerical support for the operation of the Institute for Successful Longevity. Reports to the director of the Institute at weekly meetings. Keeps all personnel records. Maintains the Institute's contacts via email list serves and the participant database: Affiliates (Faculty & Graduate Students), Community Advisory Board, Grant Meeting Groups, Directors of Aging Centers, community connections such as Senior Center, and the Ambassadors Program. Pre and post-award grants management.

Responsible for overseeing annual reports for Institute for Successful Longevity. Serves as the purchasing agent for promotional supplies needed for ISL and helps with the budget. Attend outreach events in Tallahassee and surrounding counties related to Longevity and Aging as a representative of the Institute. Attend ISL Meetings, take minutes, helps organize and arrange the ISL Brown Bag Lecture Series and the Successful Longevity Lecture Series. Keep contacts abreast of happenings within the institute by sending announcements of the Institutes upcoming events. Coordination of all meetings for the Institute: Weekly staff meetings, Monthly Affiliate Meetings, Quarterly Advisory Board Meetings, Grant team meetings. Attend outreach events in Tallahassee and surrounding counties related to Longevity and Aging as a representative of the Institute.Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience. (Note: post-high school education can substitute at the comparable rate.)

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously; perform accurately in a detailed environment.
Working knowledge of applicable computer applications and basic computer functions.Pay Plan This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.Criminal Background Check This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
