Job Details
SCAD seeks a Triage Counselor to provide clinical service access to the counseling center. In this role, you will serve as the first point of access for SCAD students to receive mental health services and assess their needs to determine if immediate risk is evident.
As a screener for risk, the Triage Counselor determines the appropriate modalities of care such as individual, group, couples counseling and assessment. You will also partner with existing staff members to connect students to needed services.
The ideal candidate has a relevant professional degree and licensure in the appropriate clinical field of psychology, social work or mental health. With a successful track record in caring for diverse populations, they work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and have a flexible, yet highly organized working style.
The successful candidate has excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to utilize electronic records and schedule programs efficiently. Experience in risk assessment, serious mental illness and working in a college counseling center is preferred.
Requirements:
•Master’s degree in counseling, psychology or social work
•Independent license eligibility in Georgia
•Experience providing crisis intervention, triage and care coordination to young adults
•Previous work with electronic records and scheduling, preferably Titanium
