The Department of Physics at the University of Cincinnati’s College of Arts & Sciences seeks candidates for Assistant Professor-Educator. The primary responsibilities will be teaching the introductory physics lecture and laboratory courses, some of which may be in an online format. The successful candidate will also participate in the Physics Education Research activities of the department, such as development of assessments, collection and analysis of data on student learning, evaluation of new models of instruction and online learning, and presentation of results within the department and at conferences. This is a non-tenure-track position with continuing reappointments based upon performance reviews.
Qualifications
- Candidates must have a Doctorate in Physics or a closely related field. Candidates must also have at least two academic years of experience utilizing research-based, active learning approaches, which could have been in a teaching or research capacity.
