Facilities Contract Specialist (M180)
This position is a dedicated resource providing the management and oversight of all contracting needs for Facilities. While the primary function is to support the construction contracting processes for the University, the Contract Specialist will also support all other contracting/purchasing needs of the Facilities organization as needed.
The Contract Specialist is expected to assure that all contracting and procurement activities are in compliance with PA Act 52, applicable Commonwealth procurement laws, and State System/University policies and procedure.
This position develops, processes, manages and/or administers the use of various contracting vehicles such as: multi-prime, low bid construction contracts; Work Order Contracts (WOCs); Open-Ended A/E contracts; Blue Back contracts; Service-Purchase contracts (SPCs); Purchase Requisitions (PRs); Purchase Orders (POs); etc.
The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
Bachelor's degree in a related field of study from an accredited University and 2 years of work experience correlating to the listed job requirements;OrAn Associate's degree in a related field of study from an accredited University and 5 years of work experience correlating to the listed job requirements;Or10 years of equivalent work experience correlating to the listed job requirements;
- Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills
- Extensive computer skills including proficiency in MS Office Suite Products
- Experience with contract administration
- Experience managing contract compliance
- Office management or supervisory experience
- Experience working with SAP
- Experience administering invoice payments

The anticipated starting salary range for this position is $63,000 to 67,000, commensurate with experience.
