Job Details
The Senior Assistant/Associate Dean will coordinate the New Opportunities at Hofstra (NOAH) program, which entails reviewing applications, liaising with the NOAH office to arrange interviews, and keeping in communication with applicants.
Candidates must be able to organize and handle all aspects of administration and adhere to the rules and regulations of Hofstra University, the Colonial Athletic Conference, and the NCAA.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, plus some nights and weekends.
Evening and weekend hours and travel required.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree required. Valid driver’s license required. Three years admissions experience with knowledge of both international and domestic recruitment preferred. Prior experience in working with multicultural and first-generation students is strongly preferred.Familiarity with Ellucian Banner and Technolutions Slate, as well as a working knowledge of PC-based word processing and spreadsheet programs. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working in a team environment and independently. The candidate must have the ability to multitask in a deadline driven environment. Candidate should possess strong communication skills both oral and written as well as strong interpersonal, organizational, leadership and administrative skills. Excellent presentation/public speaking skills required.
