20-Jul-2019 Close All Job SummaryThe Department of Computer Science in the College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for a full-time Instructor position. This position will support the Department of Computer Science’ educational mission through teaching courses for the Applied Computer Science bachelor’s degree, a new online post-baccalaureate degree offering. The post-baccalaureate degree in Applied Computer Science is a new degree for professionals with a prior bachelor’s degree that would benefit from computing but who do not have the prerequisite courses needed to pursue graduate study. The goal of the program is to prepare students with a diverse academic background to enter the computer science field.

This is a non-tenure track appointment; the successful candidate will be appointed as an Instructor on the Computer Science faculty. The position will be a 3-year appointment. The position will report to the Director of the Applied Computer Science program.
Candidates must have an earned Master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely-related field. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to high-quality undergraduate Computer Science education in the areas of theory, programming languages, algorithms, database systems or other core areas of Computer Science.
